Legislative Assembly Elections 2014

The 2014 Haryana Legislative Assembly elections were indeed held on 15th October 2014, and the results were announced on 19th October 2014. This was a general election to elect 90 members to the Haryana Legislative Assembly, and the election date was scheduled in advance as the previous assembly's term was set to expire in October 2014. The BJP won a majority with 47 seats. Manohar Lal Khattar was chosen to head of the new government.

The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), led by Om Prakash Chautala, secured 19 seats, making it the second-largest party after the BJP, which won 47 seats. While the INLD performed well in certain regions, it couldn't form a government as it lacked a majority.
